Our FridayReads
Here at Team FridayReads, we are practicing book addicts. Because we suffer from this contagious and life-saving malady, we often read multiple books at a time. This means our hair is extra shiny, we walk with extra pep in our step, and our #fridayreads won’t fit in one Tweet!
Here’s what we’re reading around these parts:
Bethanne, Our Fearless Leader: I’m reading The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes and A Partial History of Lost Causes by Jennifer Dubois–both are luscious enough that I want to play hooky!
Rebecca, Runner of Giveaways and Doer of Many Things: I’m reading PARADISE by Toni Morrison. Not going to make it all the way to the finish line of A MERCY by Tuesday, but that’s okay. This is my favorite of her novels, and I’m happy to have gotten to it. I’m also reading BREASTS: A NATURAL AND UNNATURAL HISTORY by Florence Williams and FUN HOME by Alison Bechdel.
Amanda, Seller of This, Thats and Other Things: I’m reading Homer’s ODYSSEY, Khalil Gibran’s THE PROPHET, BEL CANTO by Ann Patchett, IN ONE PERSON by John Irving (which comes out this month), and DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE by Laini Taylor.
Paige, Intern of Media Social and Otherwise: I’m forcing myself to savor Ron Rash’s THE COVE (of which I’ve fallen for), and I’ve started SAVING RUTH by Zoe Fishman (so far it’s absolutely delicious).
